Executive Committee (ExCo)

The Executive Committee consists of a Chair, appointed by the Steering Committee (SC) on his/her personal capacity, four members of the Steering Committee, elected by the SC for a 4 year term of office and representing the European sub-regions (North, West, East and South, in a broad sense), and ex officio the ECPGR Secretary who will be without voting rights. To ensure continuity, one member of the Executive Committee is replaced by a new member on an annual basis. A re-election is possible only after a break-period of 5 years.

• Starting 12 June 2022, Pavol Hauptvogel (Slovakia) replaced Vojtech Holubec (Czech Republic) as the ExCo member for the East subregion

• Birgitte Lund from Denmark joined the ExCo on 1 February 2021, replacing Külli Annamaa from Estonia.

• Benvindo Martins Maçãs from Portugal joined the ExCo on 1 January 2019, replacing Roberto De Salvador from Italy.

• Gordana Ðurić from Bosnia and Herzegovina joined the ExCo on 1 January 2014, replacing Alvina Avagyan from Armenia.

• Jens Weibull was elected by the Steering Committee to replace Merja Veteläinen (effective 20.1.2012).

• Zofia Bulińska-Radomska was elected by the Steering Committee to replace Silvia Strãjeru in the ExCo (effective 1.1.2012), according to the rule that one member of the ExCo is replaced by a new member on an annual basis.
