Establishment of three ECPGR Task Forces

Following the recommendations made by the ECPGR Steering Committee during their last meeting in Vienna in December 2012, the following task forces have recently been established....

Following the recommendations made by the Steering Committee during their last meeting in Vienna in December 2012 [report], the following task forces have recently been established and will operate in order to submit draft documents to the Steering Committee for adoption and use during Phase IX of ECPGR (2014-2018):

1)    Task force for “Engagement of users in ECPGR activities”
This task force will consider how the engagement of users in ECPGR activities can be enhanced. Users’ groups include farmers, researchers, breeders, policy makers, Small and Medium Enterprises, amateur growers, etc.

2)    Task force for “In situ conservation of crop wild relatives”
To develop agreed concepts at ECPGR level on In situ conservation of crop wild relatives
