On 6 December 2016 a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between FAO, acting on behalf of the Secretariat of the International Treaty on PGRFA and Bioversity International, acting on behalf of the ECPGR Secretariat.
Considering the commonality of intents between ECPGR and the Treaty, this MoU establishes a framework for cooperation on a range of activities related to access to and exchange of information and the sharing of expertise, by which the Treaty Secretariat and the ECPGR Secretariat will collaborate in areas of mutual interest, with the aim of promoting synergy and the coherent implementation of Art. 5, 6, 16 and 17 and the objectives of the Treaty.
