The Germplasm Collecting Missions Database provides access to information on all germplasm-collecting missions in which Bioversity has been involved.
An online service is now available that grants open access to detailed scientific information gathered during Bioversity (IBPGR, IPGRI) supported Collecting Missions over the last four decades.
Access is given to original passport data of more than 220,000 samples collected around the world. About 150,000 samples are currently geo-referenced and are displayed on an interactive map. The interactive map allows to query for species, country, collector’s name, mission title and many other topics and to download the selected passport and traits datasets available.
