The Second Call was launched on 15 April 2015 with deadline 3 August 2015. A total of 12 proposals were submitted. The evaluation was carried out by the ECPGR Executive Committee (ExCo), with the help of the ECPGR Secretariat, using the criteria that were established prior the announcement of the call of the Grant Scheme. Based on the assessment, and carefully applying the selection criteria, out of 11 eligible proposals the ExCo selected 3 proposals for immediate funding (items 1 to 3 in table below). Three other proposals (Barley, Forages and Prunus) needed to be revised and resubmitted; requests were sent to the Activity Coordinators.

On 5 February 2016, the proposal re-submitted by the Prunus WG (item 4) was approved by the ExCo.

The proposals re-submitted on 15 April by the Barley WG (item 5) and Forages WG (item 6) were approved by the ExCo and the results announced at the Steering Committee meeting on 31 May 2016 .
